7 Steps to Connect to Your Niche

Your vision is unique. It was born out of a passion to meet a need or solve a problem. This is your unique value proposition.

Unique Value Proposition (UVP) – statement of the value your service or product brings to the market and uniquely sets you apart from competitors.

Now use your UVP to identify your niche.

Niche – the marketer focuses their strategy on a well-defined market segment based on their unique value proposition.

7 Steps to Identifying Your Niche

1.       List the features of your product or service.

2.       Detail the benefits of each feature.

3.       Next to each benefit, state the problem solved or the need met.

4.       Identify who would desire the benefit.

5.       List the market segment that desires the benefit.

6.       Highlight the benefits that are unique to your product or service.

7.       The target market segment adjacent to the unique benefits is your niche.

Now, research the media outlets that would be the most effective in reaching your niche. You will get the most value from your digital marketing and increase your reach to potential customers.

Starting with your UVP helps you focus on your niche and create digital marketing strategies that communicate your solution to their needs. It’s a proactive approach that sets you apart from the competition and delivers effective and efficient marketing campaigns.
